Help me value my car...
Discussion
Sorry. I know these threads are a pain to most people but still... I need an answer.
Just had my car on ebay at what I thought was a reasonable price. Esspecially considering that some with similar mileage and condition are listed around £500 more... It didn't sell.
Car in question is a Honda CRV 2.0l 16v. 1999 model in black with just a touch over 115k. Interior excellent. Exterior ok. Nothing major. Just well used. No rust or anything like that, just some scratches and marks etc. Still cleans up looking very nice. Engine is faultless. Just had 4 new tyres and various other parts and bits and bobs replaced to a fairly substantial sum. Has MOT until October and I listed it with 1 months tax but I've now put 6 months on. Plenty of service history included all of the stuff I've recently sorted out. Only downsides to mention would be the ok bodywork and a chip on the windscreen but it's not in the MOT failable area and hasn't got any bigger in the time i've owned the car (was there when I bought it).
Now obviously I know what I paid for it, and it was well priced (not cheap) because of the condition it was in, needing 4 new tyres (£350), new exhaust (£100), other bits and pieces etc. Now I've replaced these parts, I don't think the £1500 I am asking for is unreasonable. I'm still making a loss on owning it.
TBH. I'm in no major hurry to sell but is this really asking to much?
