What has happened to pistonheads?
Discussion
I am saddened by the way pistonheads is going, nearly every thread turns into petty arguments, people threatening to call the authoritys due to someone admitting speeding, people handwringing over trivial matters, and generally trying to be a c*%k at every opportunity?
When did PH become so bloody joyless?

It was a long time ago, so long in fact that only MyBrainHurts can remember it. It was a time when he could remember his login, when Garlics clothes were still in fashion and when only wildy used the PH smilies. There was brief respite when some bloke found a TVR and anothEr filled the kettle with urine, but more recent attempts to bring it back to life involved photoshopping a girl in a wheelchair and getting Plato to prove he has custard. The sad truth is though, it was about the time rodrammage was banned.Edited by NoNeed on Sunday 25th March 21:49

I have been using PH for over 8 years, I joined over 5 years ago, never been much of a poster until recently. It seems to have got a little too popular. Some people seem to want to get one up on someone else/the original poster, to gain some sense of moral superiority. I think most popular forums tend to get this way. The petrolhead bias that was here at the outset gets diluted. When did PH become so bloody joyless?
If everyone thought, 'It's nice to be nice', it'd be nicer

A lot i recon is due to people giving but not taking. I've caught my fair share of flack, but quite happily take it when its directed at me. I feel this is a place for discusion that brings together many different views. The friction and difference in opinions should be accepted and the conflict should be allowed, obviously not on a petty level but we have to admit we all have our own very particular taste.
I hate that people think we should be a group of fluffy clouds and rainbows. We love cars, but not them all, show me anyone on this site who likes all things with no dislikes in the car world.

I do wonder sometimes where PH is going.
Despite being a regular contributor to the forums in general (I try to be helpful in as many threads as I can), and a regular poster in the 'G-Shock' thread in the Watches forum, I have just been banned from there for no reason at all, with no explanation given.
The last thing I did was start a thread asking how to open a watch case to change a battery and now I'm banned.
Go figure.
