Evening all.
I'm after some speakers for my home cinema.
I have a decent Onkyo amp and a mixture of mission front speakers and an unknown front centre.
Seem times the sound seems 'distant' when watching films.
I this a setup issue or speakers? If the latter can anyone recommend some middle of the road ones?

I presume that the Onkyo has a calibration mic and has been set up. If not then this would be the first port of call.
If it has been set up then if the dialogue sounds distant try manually increasing the gain on the centre channel by 3db. There may be an impedance difference of the unknown centre to the front left and right but your amp should be able to cope with this unless it is very hard to drive or has a low sensitivity.
