Anyone else grab a late one?
Discussion
With wifey away until late this afternoon i didn't think i would have a chance to drive the wedge today, what twith needing to get a run in once she was back, then tea, then tidy up etc but...............
5 to 7 and still lots of light so only one thing to do of course.
Cool evening air, shell V Power, roof down, drive til dusk.......
Superb!!
came up behind a Golf GTI and the front passenger had the window down in a flash and hung his head out the window.............so only one thing to do to oblige, roar past of course.
A little oversteer on the next roundabout, ahem, then off down the bypass at full tilt. Glorious sounds and little traffic to worry about.
Also had a 911 behind me coming through Brockdish. Gave it the beans between Needham and Brockdish for his benefit. Don't know what variant it was as he stayed behind
but i got a flash off him as he turned off.
Cracking 50 mins. Back now for a

Not a late one but an early one! Had an early start this morning so tried to keep the noise down but we all know thats not possible, then out the corner of my eye i spyed a neighbours door opening, i didn't hang around to see his finger wagging which made things worse!! It wasn't untile i was checking the gauges that i noticed the CLOCK
Ooops i forgot about the clocks going forward, luckily for me everyone seemed to be out on the return home

Been lucky enough to use the tvr all weekend
Yesterday was brilliant, met chris and Mark (Jack Valiant and Zig) at Greenwich Park and after a coffee and a burger we had a blast through Greenwich High street. Loved it, was grinning like an 18 year old who has just passed his test.
Zig's exhaust note is something else, completely drowned my 390 SE which isn't at all quiet !
And cheers Mark for getting me back on the A2, me and directions don't mix very well
Cheers too Chris for lending me your screw driver mate, am gonna leave my pod down for the time being.
Have now "touched up" the patches chaps, looks much better
On the way back was passed by a chimeara (mutual hand waving) and then behind me was a 911 cab.
Thought, why not, changed down to 3rd (was doing 70mph) and floored it....
The porsche driver wasn't interested though
then remembered about my temperamental brakes
Drove to Canvey Island today in it too, excellent
On the subject of brakes, I have tightened up the pipe that goes from the servo to the plenum at the plenum end and now my brake problem seems to have dissapeared. Could the air leak when it was lose have caused the brake pedal softness I had ? (sometimes the brake pedal would go right down to the floor before the brakes worked) ?
Cheers everyone
