Neg G strap will work, straight to the floor pan as long as a spreader plate is used,.. i do sometimes find myself not being able to look over the dash and there never seems to be a good time to adjust...for an extra £15 cost i may fit one but i imagine it could be a bit uncomfortable...OP, yes, a Caterham style belt will bolt straight in, though you may find the shoulder harness points require sleeving, I recall mine weren't 7/16''.
