Looking at a Volvo V50 Sport and there are a few cars priced at £6000 ish.
Looking, I could get a 2005 car with 60000 on the clock or a 2008 with 130000 on the clock.
If they have full history, which would be the better buy.
I do 10000 a year, and would aim to keep 2 years ish.
Thanks

I would say the lower mileage one will be easier to sell on

Which engine are you looking at?

The 2.0d V50 throws a potential 4 figure service bill at you on the 72,000 mile service. Many are part exchanged before this.

I'd buy the one that was in the best condition and had the most comprehensive SH. The spec would also sway my decision if one was an S and one an SE.

Although both those cars in the OP will require the large service within 10k!

From a resale point of view, I suspect the older lower mileage one will do better. I think 150k miles will put off a lot more people than nine years.

Plan to resell soon? Low mileage older.
Plan to keep for years? High mileage late.
Buying something complicated and not particularly reliable? Low mileage older but only because getting a warranty on a high miler is very hard.

Why is this please? Is it the fluid top up?
I would keep the car for 2 - 3 years and add 30k to it.

I think the big bill is a cambelt and a dpf fluid change. If you scour the adverts ones at Volvo dealers with that service recently completed are often a few £s more than ones that will need it in a year or two.

If they are from a Volvo dealer, you could always haggle the 72K service into the price?
