Wrapping chrome exterior trim
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm having thoughts about deleting the chrome trim around the windows (and possibly roof bars) on my Audi A6 Avant.
I read somewhere that black vinyl wrap can be used to great effect and is a reasonably cheap solution. I'm not so sure, in that you will probably have to remove most of the trim to do a good job (so why not buy OEM non-chrome to replace it with), and that the wrap itself will begin to peel in a fairly short period.
Has anyone on here had experience of this?

Hi, i have a audi a4 that i have done a full vinyl wrap on and also did the chrome trim surrounding the front grill. If the vinyl is applied well you should have no problems with it. Just try not to use a pressure washer on it when washing your car as this could lift the edges. Where abouts are you as i could do it for you if your interested?

Interesting - I'd have to tell the Polish guys not to jetwash the trim then. I'm in Berkshire if that's any good? How long would you expect a wrap to last before it has to be removed/replaced?Gassing Station | Bodywork & Detailing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
