hi chaps, hope everyone is enjoying this lovely weather so far? I recently noticed my oil pressure guage going mad, after carefully observing it more, i notice that when i put my foot down, the needle sits in the position its supposed to and always has since i had the car, (just below or above 30psi), i guess depending on whether the engine is warm or not, but now when i take my foot off the power, it shoots up to the other end of the scale and gradually settles if im at traffic lights for example, not it does this more often than not, but not all the time, now is this more likly to be the sender knackered or is it the pump telling me its on its way out? thanks for any help guys

Sender... Look in the 'For Sale' section... I thin kthey are about £22...
when you say 'other end'.. do you mean reading max pressure?... if it's the other way.. you could try cleaning the spade connector etc... smile

well my guage seems to have died tonight - it always read low never going over 25 but as I was driving along I noticed the needle had not even moved a mm.

Guesing (hoping lol) its the sender thats at fault and nothing more sinister.

will order one of the ebay senders tonight but with the best weather we have seen in Scotland for 50 odd years was really wanting to take it out tomorrow frown
