Erratic tick over sorted.

I have owned the chim since last summer and I have loved it apart from it's arratic tick over which I have not been able to solve and has put me of driving the car a little as I like it to run well. Since ownership I have replaced the following, distributor arm and cap, checked the timing of it to and it was spot on, leads and plugs, ecu coolant temp sensor, checked the stepper is operating correctly and cleaned, tested the air flow sensor, checked for leaks in the air hoses to plenum, removed and cleaned the plenum. Still no improvement, until last week I started the car and popped the bonnet up to have a check before setting off, it was night time so couldn't see much as I reached for my pocket to get the torch on my phone I noticed the spark plug heat caps arcing out on the manifold. Ordered new and they arrived today. Wow what a difference ticks over and pulls so much smoother now so so chuffed I'm going to be racking up some serious mileage now
