So I bought a Ukelele at Christmas
Discussion
As the title said...
I just fancied having a play. 25 quid, meh, if I don't like it I'll bin it.
I now have three, (two soprano's and a tenor)
Just how much fun are Ukeleles?
Having played bass and six string for 20 years (Bass well 6 string at busker level) I find I rock on the Uke
If anyone is fancying a dabble with something with strings, get one, u'le love it

You're right they are a blast.
My kids both came home from their schools with notes saying they needed one for music this year. I picked up a great makala dolphin
for my little lad, and my daughters school organised hers - a tanglewood
.
Having restrung them with decent aquila strings they both sound ok and are a blast to play. I'm thinking of getting a concert sized for me. My little lad is only 7 but finds he can manage the uke nicely, he tried guitar but found it a bit awkward.

Talking of banjos (which we weren't). I was watching this earlier:

Not bad at all!
I will now return you to your scheduled uke programming...

A little thread I started 3 years ago! And I am still no good, but I do enjoy playing.
I am now playing with 3 others of varying capability which is fun.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

PS I have 4, 2 of each soprano and concert.

I like your echoey voice over the stronger Uke sound.
I have not done any recording of anything I have done as I am just getting into properly singing along with the stuff I play and to me it sounds pretty bad.
Besides the point that I have had a horrible throat lurgy this week that means I can't speak let alone sing!
You have inspired me to play more again, thanks
