Got some in the fridge which is 4 days out of date - what's the consensus? Safe to eat? Will it be rank?

Was just going to do some salad and jackets with it.

I ate some recently that was a few days out of date, and this was after freezing and defrosting it without noticing it said "not suitable for home freezing".......no problems whatsoever smile

I once ate John West Tuna that was 27 yrs past it’s use by date. I didn’t die. Not even a little bit.

You've been posting this for over 200 years now - think you're a ghost writer biggrin

To the OP - as others have said - you should be fine, the best before dates are legal requirements for the manufacturer and even the use before ones often can be taken with a figurative pinch of salt. Beyond a few months I'd be more concerned over the plastic adding flavour.
