Independent York area windscreen chip repair?
Discussion
The £70.00 will be if the glass is replaced.
Most repairs on ins are free to you, but in some cases there will be a £10.00 policyholder contribution (£25 for some).
My recommendation would be these two fellas - I use them both for subbing work to:
Autobody Windscreens: 07794 058 014
Yorkshire Windscreens: 01142 869 083
Both very competent and above all, decent and trustworthy blokes.

i had a chip about a year ago. bought a kit to do it myself at halfords... cost about 25 or 30 quid , enough material for around 4 or 5 chips.... was very easy to use and worked wonders.... basically you get a suction adhered clamp with a built in funnel, you add the resin then with a screw in resin pusher this pushes resin into the chip. you then remove the clamp and cover the chip with a film you get with the kit. you then leave the car window facing the sun for ten minutes. the uv rays cure the resin. peel off the film then with a straight blade supplied you scrape any excess off . as i say it is an amazing kit , does the job fantastic. cant recommend it enough and so easy to fix a chip. mine was deep too . i was told about it from a mate who works for autoglass he told me rather than paying for them at around 90 squid to get one of these... the results were great , 2 years or so on still good and its a permanent fix not temp
