Tesco ham on the bone

Got one of these delivered tonight, 1.5kg ham on the bone, £8 (half price, was £16 apparently, but probably only for two weeks in their remotest store to comply with sale price rules!). Looks ok for the lower price though. I'm hoping for more meat than bone!

Well, even if it's 50% bone, then it's 750g of meat for £8, which for half-decent ham is pretty cheap.

After you've scoffed the meat, I do hope you're going to save the ham bone for stock, or to flavour a pea / lentil soup.

Ooh, thanks, I never thought of that! I love pea & ham soup. Definitely worth it then!!
