Tesco ham on the bone

Got one of these delivered tonight, 1.5kg ham on the bone, £8 (half price, was £16 apparently, but probably only for two weeks in their remotest store to comply with sale price rules!). Looks ok for the lower price though. I'm hoping for more meat than bone! smile

Good luck with that.
There is bone,which you have paid for, and you cant eat.
so where is the saving?

Well, even if it's 50% bone, then it's 750g of meat for £8, which for half-decent ham is pretty cheap.

I thought this thread was going to be about Tescos bacon joints from the hot meat counter, mmmmmmmm, put that meat in my mouth.

Looks good.

After you've scoffed the meat, I do hope you're going to save the ham bone for stock, or to flavour a pea / lentil soup.

Ooh, thanks, I never thought of that! I love pea & ham soup. Definitely worth it then!!
