Compression Cerbera Problem

Hello,

yesterday I have measured the compression of my 4,5 l engine. All cylinders have 19.5-20 bar (294 psi) !!!

Is this normal.. This is very very high.. (My Engine has 60k mls done)

While i measured the engine was warm 8 (45°C or 113 °F), the Fuel Pump was off, the throttle was full open, Sparks were all off and the batterie was full..

Maybe my valve timing is wrong, so i have to much fill or the starter speed is to high..

I´m a little bithelpless

Perhaps try another compression tester before anything else.

First i use my Gasoline Compression tester.. it goes to the end of the scale at 17 and then i used my Disel tester.. and it shows 20 bar..

So both of them showed very high values... so i think its not the problem of the tester.. but i try to use a third one ..

On the other Hand.. it realy hard to measure he Compression because its very narrow around the engine... so not evry tester cpuld be used..

If eizer of zee's are zee cauze, I vood get down to zee patent office in dutchland velly quickly as you have a spezial engine indeed sir. (sorry for my poor german)

I vood not worry about zee actual compression only zat zay are all zee same sir. So I sink you have a good healthy engine.Dont worry any more.

As long as the spark plugs haven't melted.
