Chaps,

Have a couple of small scuffs that I'd like to have repaired (Ocean blue leather).

Can anybody recommend a good leather repairer? - either around Warwickshire or Nottingham?

Thanks,

Rotty

You can do it yourself to a better standard yourself with a kit from liquid leather and save loads of money. I've done two sets of marble grey seats in my time needed 6 coats with a sponge. Blue would be a breeze.

I have used the liquid leather kits on 2 cars and they are very good, does tend to need reapplying every year or so though

I've used various colours from Dynamix Dyes and they've all come out well and lasted well too. I've just bought the dye on its own @ £20, but they do kits too:

Thanks chaps.

I have looked at some dye kits....but, worried about a diy colour blend.....esp as it's only a small area on the lumbar....

Somebody did mention Mo Mallik too.....but not the number!...so, thanks for that...I'll give him a try.

Cheers,

It really isn't difficult to do it yourself. If the original colour is recognised you can get a repair kit from the Furniture Clinic http://furnitureclinic.co.uk/?gclid=CKXOkb-Ljq8CFQ...

Remember that most leather is not actually dyed - the colour comes from an applied top coat. When it wears or cracks it is only this top coat that is usually damaged. Applying food or "connolising" makes no difference as the top coat is waterproof and the food never reaches the leather. The only way to feed leather in these cases is from the back face. Removing and re-applying the top coat (PU) is a relatively simple task

These are before and after shots of my drivers seat....
