Good Morning home tech brainiacs, may i poke you for some advice?

I am having some problems with a second hand projector I bought recently. I was sold it with the understanding that it has done over 3000 hours and that the bulb will need replacing soon. So for the price of §30 it was a risk but it was only really worth the price of a new bulb.

Low and behold the bulb failed a few weeks later. I am perfectly happy to buy another lamp for it but I am not entirely sure that it is the bulb and id like to run its idiosyncrasies past someone with more experience.

I only use it at the weekends so it doesnt spend its life on standby. I power it on using the rocker switch on the back and then press the power on button. Sometimes when powering on, it will power up and then shut down. Pressing power button wont make it power up again. It just does not respond

Sometimes you can catch it and press the power button after powering up with rear rocker switch and it will come to life. The lamp illuminates but not even enough to project onto my hand in front of the projector. no image visible om my hand either.

Occasionally the lamp led warning will illuminate, but not all the time.

The reason i am asking is because i had read a lot on the next and some of the things i describe sound like a power supply board failure and not the bulb. Is there anyway i can prove it is one or the other?

Below are some photos i took on the random occasions when it would fire up. The lamp is very dim.
