Morning All,

Just joined a gym that has 2 of these X Dream bikes. Anyone else used one?

I saw them on the Home of the future programme on Channel 4 and they looked quite good fun. I had a go on one yesterday and it was really good.

The steering element to it is okay and adds a bit of interest but it's the ability to race peers and save progress (like a computer game) that is quite good.

Gimic? Probably. Although no more so than a set of rollers and a TacX setup.

I can think of more fun ways to spend £6,000.

i had a go on one, lasted about three minutes...
utter ste. the steering is awful, its far too heavy becuase they mounted all the electronic tat on the handlebars, there is no progression or feedback like steering wheel vibration on racing games. The gearing is dreadful too. unless you can be arsed spending ten minutes getting the fit right, its a waste of time. i dont mind spinning or even regular exercise bikes if i have to, but a screen of some nice looking xc course infront of me just makes me want to get the bike out and do it properly....
