Hello all,
Firstly, apologies to those in charge for the second account, but my normal one is pretty recognizable if you know me, and a lot of people from work spend time on PH. Hope you'll understand.

Anyway-
I'm interested in trying to get into oil and gas in the East Anglia area. I have worked in utilities before (Gas power stations and co-gen). I'd be interested to hear about what life's like working in the industry, especially offshore.
I'd like to be a project engineer/project manager but I'm happy to start in a more engineering-led role before moving onto Project Management.

Would it be worth putting myself through OPITO basic safety training and/or PRINCE2? I do project management now but I'm not officially qualified. I think they're about £750 each.
I have an engineering degree, but not a great grade so I want to try and put myself in the best position possible.

For reference, I'm in my late 20's and would be looking for about £35k, or a bit less if there's good prospects.
