The time has come! Can anyone recommend an MOT center that knows what they are doing when it comes to TVR's? Ideally West Berkshire, I'm in Newbury. Thames Valley Racetech can't fit me in for a while sadly. Many thanks, KG

Berkshire Autos, near Hurst did mine for a few years - they know the cars. Most MOT places would be fine to be honest - they're only cars after all. Just stand nearby to point out all the buttons/dials/switches to the pimply MOT assistant.

I'd be more concerned about the possibility of the aforementioned pimply MOT assistant taking the car out for a quick test drive "just to test the brakes, etc., honest guv", to be honest.

That's why I like to take my TVR to an MoT centre that does so many of them that there will be no temptation to have a go in "just another Chimaera".

Wargrave Autos Centre - High Street, Wargrave.

1/ They've got a pit so no risk of grounding when going on ramp.

2/ They've got a decelerometer as using the rolling road can damage the limitied slip diff.

( They've done mine the last 2 years )
