Can anyone recommend a decent olympic trap bar for a decent price? Seen on ebay for £90 but it has raised handles. Some of the others I've seen are priced around £150. Seem's like a lot!

Thanks

I've got the one at £150 which was recommended by someone else here who has it. Brilliant bit of kit which allows you to deadlift without screwing your knees and back.

I think called the York hex multilift bar or something like that.

I have this one: click - pretty solid - weighs nearly 40kgs on its own.

Beware - it comes on a huge pallet. hehe

Nice one! Thanks. I wonder if I'll look odd walking into the gym with my own trap bar?

Just noticed it's on sale for £115 smile

How long is it? 6ft or 7ft? I is there enough room when standing inside it to deadlift without your knees or backside hitting the bar?

I use it in my home/garage 'gym'. I wouldn't like to take it to a pukka gym too often. wink

Yes plenty of room. I'll have to measure it when I get home, but it's substantially shorter than my olympic bar.

I've got some cast iron olympic plates at home and have been thinking of doing deadlifts solely at home as the plates in the gym are smaller in diameter which is annoying.

Thanks smile I guess it doesn't need to be as long as an olympic bar. How many 20kg olympic plates can it fit on each side? Not that I could load it fully anyway but would be good if it can take more than 3 plates on each side

Easily - more like five or six per side. When I get home I'll pop a tape over it.
