Been in touch with these guys and quoted at 45+VAT a corner for minor refurbishment and black powder coating 15 & 16" wheels on the MR2, is this reasonable?

I used these years ago to do some 19's and they were £180 all in with a brilliant hard wearing finish. They were that confident with the finish they said there was no problem putting the tyres back on same day i collected wheels and what do you know went on without any marks. Much harder wearing than a standard paint finish. Only problem being they need the tyres off as they didn't offer that service. Not sure if they do now though.

Had some done last year by PPS, fabulous finish, I will be getting my winter tyres off next week and the wheels redone as they are in a terrible mess

Brother has had wheels done by PPS on a few occasions and the finish has been 5*, and at £45 a wheel it is a good price.

Me too, a fantastic durable finish... just a shame they can't provide a drive in\out service, or at least do a deal with Tawse to remove the tyres.

Copy that!

Aye, just had my 17'' rims powder coated in a gloss anthracite by PPS @ 45 a corner & I'm very happy with the job. They look fantastic & were turned around (no pun intended ;-)) in around 5 days

Okay okay that's enough recommendations hehe I'll drop them off tomorrow morning smile

While I'm at it - does anyone have recommendations for tyres in the area? I normally use Sillets in Aberdeen for the bike, think they might do car tyres too...

I bought some 309 gti good wood wheels last year for my Miami 309 and they were a mess and considered scraping them but I put them too PPS......got them back and was utterly astounded at the finish.

Try Aberdeen Tyres, they did me a good deal.

Per tyre? What kind of tyres did you fit? eek (Or are you talking about powder coating/painting...? Or just fitting the tyres?)

Guess I'll finish this thread with a picture...

Many thanks to Keith, they were obviously very busy but still managed to refurbish and coat the wheels in a timely fashion and the finish on them is first class beer
