frame mounted 'gubbins' holder

Is there such a thing as a very compact, frame mounted holder that will have enough space for levers, CO2 canister and patches?

In my minds eye I picture it as similar to the Di2 battery pack but mounted to the seat tube cage mount.

I despise carrying tools in my jersey and I don't get on with under saddle bags.

I get two tubes, levers, 1 CO2 catridge, spoke key, glueless patches, bit of old innertube and a couple of allan keys and an emergency energy gel in one of the 500ml ones.

i use one of these.

they fit at the fornt of the top tube and attach around the stem, there is only one strap at the front so it will fit regardless of how low your stem is to the frame. mine holds a phone, a few gels, an energy bar so hte seat pack has space for a tube and tyre levers... they are really useful because the rmind you to eat which sounds stupid but makes sense, if all your stuff is tucked under the saddle or in pockets you can forget its there....

Maybe I'm being daft here, but how would you get into the frame tube to put the holder in and take it out again?

I'm thinking a container that fits on the end of the seat post, or even a screw on cap on the seat post so stuff can be stored inside it.

Me too. Very handy for a camera as it's easy to reach and take a picture without getting out of the saddle.

How about a little kit like this: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/lezyne/lever-p... They are so small and light you'd never notice it in your pocket.

And then with a bit of fettling with tape/foam etc I'm sure a CO2 canister could be made to fit inside the seat tube, although you'd need a QR seat post clamp then.

I'm visualising something similar to the battery back on the Venge, very small and discrete although if one doesn't exist I'll either have to make on or accept defeat.

If you only need one drinks bottle, you could use the second bottle cage to hold a bottle stuffed with spares. That's what I did on a triathlon once. Quite a neat solution, but it does mean you don't have as much to drink!

Purists will no doubt laugh - you can buy triangle shaped bags that velcro between the top tube and seat tube.

I can get phone, money, keys, combi tool, levers and patch kit into mine.
Definitely no room for a tube, unfortunately!
