I have found suddenly i cannot get the car in gear! No fluid on the garage floor. This actually nearly had me stranded about a month ago but managed to get it out of the car park and drive home was fine! But in the garage same story! Pedal does feel slightly spongy at the top part of travel. Any ideas? Also fluid was to the top but looked slightly grey?! Cheers guys

Joe,

Try bleeding first common issue, if that doesn't work then it sounds like some fingers may have broken on the clutch and you will need a new one.

If it was dodgy and then good not dodgy again that would sound like air in the system. Check the carpet up by the peddles is dry, if the master leaks that is where it ends up.

Good luck.

Try bleeding the Clutch ,if it wont bleed the seals in your master cylinder have gone, fit a new one and bleed, adjust the pushrod on the clutch pedal and it should be OK.I have just had to do this to mine.

Bleeding the clutch is fairly simple easier with two people one to operate the clutch pedal.Get yourself a clutch bleed kit from Halfrauds their not expensive.

Try bleeding the clutch first but I suspect you have snapped a finger or two on the clutch diaphram. I had exactly the same problem when my first clutch went couldn't get a gear then it was ok for a while but clucth felt spoongy and lighter than usual and eventually couldnt get any gears as one of the snapped fingers had worked its way into a position where clutch operation was then impossible.
