The Shelbys at Amelia Island Concours
Discussion
Hey fellas, I'm new around here. I digital bits start on the other side of the pond. So I thought that you guys might enjoy coverage of the Amelia Island concours. This is the east coast's Pebble beach without the huge price and more cars, I think. Bill Warner and his crew some how manage to entice 300 cars to the golf greens of the Ritz Carlton. Makes for a pretty good scenery. What's also interesting about this one is the inclusion of the sporting side of the automotive Universe. This year the cars of Vic Elford were featured along with 12 GTO's.
I'll test my posting capabilities and try to put up some more, should anyone be interested. I look forward to getting better acquainted with stuff on your side of the pond.

This is the first Shelby I spotted Saturday morning.

This was a pretty famous DragonSnake.

This was an interesting bird.

I love the patina.

This was a special sight indeed, for so early in the morning.

[My friend's shop, DEW Motor Cars, did all the work on this beauty. Its a 64 Ferrari 400 superAmerica. The car was rusted from the belt line down and the nose was crunched. All that had to be painstakingly recreated. They got a class award and best finish.

Its interesting to compare the rear window of this 400

With the 250 GT Sperimental
