I do enjoy cycling past Petrol Station with the price of Unleaded at £1.40, but I have 2 cars 2 motiorbikes at home on pretty emptytanks.

Almost empty tank in the car, 1/2 a tank in the van, and I'm feeling pretty empty-legged myself! (due to LOTS of MTBing). Haven't quite got enough fuel in the van for the riding we're supposed to be doing this weekend

Hmmmm, real mixed emotions from me. We are off the Burton Bradstock in Dorset for the first week of the kids holidays, I am planning on cycling down but the wife and kids are going to follow in the car..............so, I could have a very peaceful week if this ridiculous panic buying does not stop!

Went out at lunch on the bike from work and passed a big Tesco petrol station, huge queue but made worse by numpties stopping at the entrance (just off a main road) and waiting for the next pump to become free.
Shook my head and then remembered I'm on less than 1/2 tank so probably 160 miles left and my commute is 60 miles each way. Meaning I may have to fill up tomorrow on way home. Doh!

I do believe because you are preceding it with a verb that indicates movement (cycle) it should in fact be 'past'.
(past acting as an adverb).

If you are preceding it with a verb, it's incorrectly conjugated. It should be "I cycled past", i.e. past tense with past as an adverb. "I passed (on a bicycle)" would also be fine.

I was intending to do that last night, for the entertainment factor, and because I did actually need to fill up the car, as it was close on empty. Totally forgot about it, and just went home via a very indirect route, was just having a good time on the bike.
