Yesterday my E34 518i decided to start leaking fluid from the rear calliper.
I only know the basics when it comes to brakes,what I am looking for is someone that can come and watch me strip it down to find what the fault is, I will do all the work, all you need to do is supervise.
I know you are going to say take it to a garage, but I can't afford to.
Once I know what's wrong with it, I can then figure out how to get it repaired.
I am in Creswell near Worksop, anyone that can help will have a steady supply of coffee or tea.
Just get a new / recon caliper from eurocarparts or similar.
Even if you do find whats wrong rebuilding it yourself isn't going to save you much money and will take a lot of time.
Un-bolt the old one bolt on a new one. If you clap the hose well you shouldn't even have to bleed it much.
A leak may well be hose related rather than caliper related - even cheaper.
