It would appear that Jay-Z has decided to challenge Bernie and Leepu to the art of customising a car.



Buy $150,000 car.
Spend (apparently) $300,000 "modifying".
Sell car for $60,000 at auction

"Modifying" in this case would appear to be remove doors and roof. Swap bonnet and boot, turn new boot into centre hinged lambo-esque affair. Slap on some crap alloys and then weld dirty great lumps of metal all round the car. Oh, and for good measure add a flamer kit.

The $60k went to charity - but I can't help thinking he'd have been better off just writing the cheque for $400k and saving a whole lot of effort.

Its rare for a modified car to turn out better looking and more dignified the the car they started out with but in this case i think they have managed it.

It would have not given any publicity to JayZ. This wasn't about charity, it was a self-serving exercise.
