...just used one to fill my tank up (from 10% full, sorry I panicked!) and I loved the fact the garage had blocked off the ordinary pumps, leaving some free for users of super only biggrin

I noticed that the sheeple were blocking the road around my local Morrisons and Sainsbury filling stations, so eager were they to fill up; whilst the large BP station was doing no more than a brisk trade (but it was 4p per litre dearer...).

The only problem is that 'they' have now started buying super unleaded in the hope it lasts that much longer they won't have to fill up as often. We're doomed.

Were you (BMW M#) drivers able to contain your smugness and superiority long enough to be capable of filling your (BMW M#) cars with the high octane juice recommended for your (M6) car?

It took a little longer due to our smugness granted, but we managed, just rolleyes

Just for the record - I'm in a mildly warm hatch and wasn't standing laughing at the commoners, while filling my £100k motor smile

Glad to hear it, old chap. I'm sure it would have been difficult with not 1, but 3 Alpha males vying for position.

Your anecdote wouldn't have been anywhere near as good without the descriptions of the (BMW M#) cars.

I was dissapointed to be turned away when there was no fuel, I asked about being a vpower club member and the assistant said that they had asked those using normal unleaded to use this as it was all that was left..

Anyone else feel that they should of said no and saved this for those who have used vpower all the time with the membership cards?

I think so, I use nothing else in my car (unless I am stuck for a Shell station then it gets BP Ultimate etc etc) Swung by the local shell garage last night on the way home from the gym on the off chance there might have been some but the whole station was coned off.

Sales is sales, but if i decided to go to BP or somewhere else when everyone stops panicing they would of lost vpower custom..

A little loyalty to repay mine to them is to much to ask.

But yes sales is sales frown

I thought this was a proposition to make all offside lanes on dual carriageways and motorways "V power only", now I am disappointed to find its just another fuel panic thread.

Yeah how dare you mention that they were M cars on a motoring forum, what on earth were you thinking
