3d TV for dummies
Discussion
I have recently bought a Samsung UE40D6100 TV, which appears to have some 3d capability.
I'm new to 3d so have a few questions.
Firstly, I need to buy the glasses obviously, but I can manage that!
My main questions are...
Can anything become 3d? When I switch the 3d while watching something, it changes to 2 images (either side by side or top and bottom), so if I had the glasses, would this become 3d?
3d blu-rays...
My normal process is to rip blu-rays to my network hard drive as mkv files, and then watch them on the TV.
Can I do this exactly the same with 3d blu-rays?
Will a 3d blu-ray be watchable without 3d glasses?
Or is there something in a 3d blu-ray that makes the 3d feature 'work' when it wouldn't with a normal TV signal?
Thanks for any help.
