Hammond's 850Ci in the classifieds
Discussion
Just watching a Top Gear re-run and saw the one with the 8 series, and as one does, I went off to the PH classifieds to have a look at prices, when I find Hammond's car in there;

Being sold with 54k on the clock (same as when Hammond got it), but on at a price that is a fair bit less than the £6700 Hammond paid for it.
Shame they never did keep us updated on running costs as they alluded that they would do in Top Gear...

Certainly appears to have light coloured leather in this video;

ETA Hammond's was an M reg, the one in the advert is a K.

So basically you've seen a similar colour 8 series and automatically assumed there is only one of them in the world.
Yes. All I looked at was the colour. Not the unusual wheel design for that model. Or the fact they both share the same mileage. Or the same colour combination.

But the leather, is anything but black in the video.
1:49, looks pretty black to me.E30M3SE said:
Those wheels were standard on the 850ci's, Hammond's had cover more miles (55k ad say cars done 54k), Hammond's also has the later 3 spoke airbag steering wheel not the bulkier 4 spoke of the car in the ad, so the only similarity was the colour.
The wheels may have been standard, but few cars seem to wear them after 15-20 years. At 1:25 in the video, Hammond clearly says his car has 54k (a figure that struck me as unusual to occur on two seperate cars of that vintage). Regardless, it transpires I was wrong on this occasion. Well spotted on the steering wheel and the previous poster who noted the reg plate, those details had passed me by.
