Someone has put on a replacement battery on the Mk1 I just bought, but it doesn't have a tray and retaining bar/bolt.

I've looked on MX5Parts but they seem to only do the tray for the original battery. Anyone know where I can get tray and retaining stuff suitable for a standard size battery?

They have clamps etc here

They held my normal battery in place before I got my Westco.

I'm not sure if anyone makes on oversized battery tray though. Shouldn't be too hard to make your own.

Are you aware of the rust problems that can arise from using a non-venitlated battery?

You could always contact Autolink or AK Automotive, I'm sure they'll have the parts you need.

I actually Googled the problem and Autolink came up, so I will have a look at their site.

Don't rely on the stock-list on their website. They are a breakers so their online stock-list will never be up to date. Best to just give them a call.
Another to try is MX5 Heaven.
