I've sold my hillclimb / sprint (and road rally) Midget and am looking for a replacement. Do you know of a friendly and well supported championship and class for a pre 82 or pre 74 car that doesn't require too much modification.

I started a similar thread in classic section so thanks if you have already contributed (or on Uphill racers)!

Thanks

No "classic" classes in my part of the world (classics do well enough in the main classes anyway), given it's a Midget do MGCC offer anything? I know they are involved in speed events as we used to co-promote one with them and they have a meeting at Wiscombe Park in September.

Thasnk, I did compete in the MGCC but I've sold the Midget now. I might end up back there with a B though...

I always though a mixed classic class would be a good idea. Always a guy turns up at our events in an old Lancia Fulvia and goes home empty handed. Good on him for turning up, but a class of similar classics competing would be nice to see and surely more rewarding than being up against a modern hot hatch.

A red one? Was he at North Weald on the 18th March? It's a very nice car ...

(I was there in my TVR. Ghod, but it was cold.)

Same goes for the guy in class A1 with the Frogeye Sprite.
