First post in this section so be gentle....smile

I have a room in the house that I am converting from an old kitchen to my new study/games room. It will therefore have computer area, TV on the wall and then a media area (amp, media player, XBOX etc).

The room is back to knackered plaster and I have the floor boards lifted so I am planning to channel in the wires etc (power, speakers, HDMI and network). Everything is sorted apart from the HDMI and network cables. I have cables for the lengths but unsure about the sockets/faceplates etc.

I have bought simple plates with brushes but now thinking about using Euro modules instead as they will look neater and allow me to move things around/change kit in due course (once plastered I will not be able to pull any loose cables through so the length out of the faceplates with brushes will be fixed). However whilst I can find HDMI Euro modules (which have a Euro face plate and a female socket - which is ideal as I have lengths of HDMI male to male cables) I cannot find Euro modules for faceplates that come pre-wired with a female socket and therefore would have to wire them myself (not my area of comfort!!).

Is anyone aware of these modules or am going to have to get a specialist in?

Thanks

Don't do it!

Adding more connections than you actually need could be faital to a HDMI signal.

Recommend keeping connections to the minimum and use the brush plate.

Depending on the brush plate maker, you should be able to still snap in a couple fo modules.
