Hello there. Back in 2009 I made a decision to follow a lifelong dream. Still only haf way there, this site documents my experiences thus far. I hope it's of some use and a good read!

Thanks for posting, it's a good read.

I'm going through a similar situation myself at the moment, having just passed my ARDS a few weeks ago. Got my first race coming up, next weekend, at Knockhill in the SMRC XR2. Can't wait, I'm a nervous wreck, but a nervous wreck with the hugest cheesiest grin ever biggrin

I really wish I'd taken the plunge 10 years ago.

I was thinking of doing some kind of blog but I am useless at descriptive writing unfortunately. mind you a lot of what you've written, from the trackday onwards, is very similar to how I'd want to put it anyway smile

I agree, my first race was this weekend in the Welsh Sports and Saloons. 22 cars on the grid from motorbike powered minis to ex touring cars and me in the middle, rolling start, bumper to bumper, havent stopped smiling yet.

Had my first races on Saturday at Oulton Park. Might have finished last in class for both of them, but the car completed the weekend in the same condition it started - which can't be a bad thing!
