Lexus GS450h fuel consumption

Question to anyone that has had or is currently running one, what is the fuel consumption like over varied driving? do you get anywhere near say 40mpg like you would from a similar sized car with a diesel engine? how often does it run on electricity alone?

someone on SXOC just bought same, this week, but he's not answering. I don't think they are as good as a diesel. Personally I'd sooner go LPG route if you are looking for savings. Probably loose less boot space as well (if any). the Hybrid vs standard boot spaces loss is huge.
