TVRCC Herts, Beds & Middlesex: Infamous "Windmill" run 22/04
Discussion
Hi folks
Someone in the dim and distance past of Herts & Beds, put together something called the "Windmill" route which was forwarded to me just before Xmas last year by Chas.
This route starts near Hertford and like a drunkard (not literally!), wanders around Herts and Essex back-roads until it finally comes to rest around Hitchin 3 hours later.
The route covers both a mixture of back-roads, A roads and things that are only called roads by a stretch of the imagination, so should prove to be an interesting run.
Why exactly it is called the "Windmill" run is unclear - apart from the fact that it passes next to a windmill - but if anyone is interested in a good waste of a morning and hard earned petrol on Sunday - April 15th - put down your name and if there is enough interest, I'll get the run-in setup
And yes, I'm happy to let anyone "lead" if they want to!
Thanks!

Alex,
For your info, the Windmill run passed 2 windmills and finished at the windmill pub.... making 3 windmills in total
there's a slight error on the route you posted, as it doesn't take the windmill at Cromer in (which we did)
and it was great run, with some very noisy cars
especially loved Zippee's speed six popping n banging all over the shop.... and the roar of L7 Tuscan 2..... my car seemed quiet for once
and it was bloomin cold, and not really a day for trackday tyres as myself (Kumho V70a) and Spartridge (Toyo 888) will confirm as we both had traction issues
Edited to say Chas took some piccies so maybe we will see some of at one of the Windmill at Cromer
