Am moving house and looking to buy a new tv. I don't need sky but I do enjoy watching the freesat channels through my old sky box. I remember a couple of years ago that some tvs came with both freesat and freeview tuners built in. Asking in my local Sony shop they said that freest is no longer available. Is this true??

Is there any advantage from having freesat hd versus freeview through an aerial ? Is hd available through an aerial? If so freest seems an unnecessary hassle (putting a dish upstairs etc)

Thanks

Freesat is still going strong. Panasonic sell TV's with inbuilt Freesat HD and Freeview HD tuners.

I believe another manufacture was starting to do the same, Samsung maybe!?

Freesat is still going strong.

You could have also asked them about Plasma screens and they would have given you the same answer.

Pity, because I generally like Sony products.
