Whats the deal with using independent outifts for service history in relation to a dealer?

I am taking my chim into Tower View Racing for a waxoyling/MOT and a look at the exhaust but the service is due in Oct/Nov and seeing as they are about £300 cheaper than the nearest dealer am thinking I will probably use those guys.

For arguments sake lets say I keep the car for another 2 years and therefore have 3 services in total that is a saving of £900. Will the fact I have used an renowned independent rather than a dealer devalue the re-sale value by £900 or more? What do you reckon then folks?

Recognised specialist will have absolutley no negative effect on your cars value..... use the right one and it may well have a positive effect!

Unless of course you part ex it with a main dealer, and then I'm 99.9% certain it will have a negative effect on its value.
