Does anyone know if AM have brought out a new iPod cable yet?

Inexplicably, the factory one I've got won't charge my iPhone 4S even though the old iPod kits in my others cars do.

There is an adapter I can use, but it's not a very elegant solution.

Surely the new cars being delivered will have the right cable?

I haven't tried. Plugged it in for the first time yesterday. Wasn't very impressed that the cable kept coming out when driving spiritedly...

User manual said:
Random
Plays tracks from the music folder(s) in random order.

2. Navigate to iPod or USB Menu... >(ENTER)> Random...

to randomly choose from none, one or all music folders.
‘RND’ or ‘RND ALL’ is shown in the DISPLAY while the

Press the JOYSTICK left / right or the SCROLL button to select
the next or previous random track.

If the cable keeps coming out do you have a cover that gets in the way? Mine fits perfectly but my partner has an Apple bumper and nothing plugs in properly with that thing on.

Should be an audible click when you connect the cable

Yes, I think it's the cover. My other stuff plugs in OK. The AM cable must be a tight on the small side.

I would say the cable in the new cars is fine. When I got my car last September I had the original Nano which charged up fine. I then got it replaced under the Apple recall and they replaced it with the latest generation. This also charges without a problem.

Hope that helps.
