Wheel types for 5 litre cars

Hello all,

Quick question, do all 5 litre Chimaera's have the later style 7 spoke alloys? Or do some have the 5 spokes?

Chimaeras generally have the 5 spoke wheels but it is a TVR so they could have been fitted with anything...

5 litre Chims generally have the seven spoke (aka Griff) wheels actually. That was the standard - you could of course specifiy 5 spokes if you were perverse.

Except that the TVR demo cars had Chimaera wheels. The last 500s had Chimaera wheels and several non-500s had them as well. All a bit of a mess because the wheel production ebbed and flowed...

IIRC last ones had 5 spokes, 16" front and back, to further confuse things.........

So a few demo 500's had 5 spoke, and the last year or so of production. Between 1996 and 2002/3 (thats 7 years) all the rest had 7 spoke, aka Griff, wheels - like wot I said. Most of them. Duh!
