Sagaris engine bay tidy up
Discussion
The engine has to come out, so thought it would be a good time to have a tidy up in there.
What do you guys recommend to do??
So far I have the following:
- Polish oil tank, swirl pot and expansion tank. possibly the oil cooler
- polish or replace metal coolant pipe that runs in front of the engine (attached to the head with bracket)
- powder coat fuel rail (black or red)
- powder coat chain cover (black or red)
Or change the colour of the head and match the chain cover. Suggestions please

Hey guys, it's all very well but driving with the bonnet up showing off all that bling just makes things that much tougher. The lid's there for a reason isn't it?
Anyone for polishing that diff?
I'm only jealous
I thought all TVRs spent their time with the bonnet up for other reasons? Therefore it makes sense for it to sparkle... Besides, we wouldn't want the AA mans hands to get dirty. Anyone for polishing that diff?

Jason has new blocks (with mods ?) available doesn't he ? And new heads too ??
Completely new engine then me thinks.... 4.3... why not ??? 5yr unlimited mileage warranty offered ??
Did you ask him about some of the mods he's done for his racing engine like cross-bolting etc. ?
Not much change out of £10k tho I bet, if you can/want to afford it !

I'm really sorry to hear that, but well done to Jason for honouring his warranty.
What is the cost (and time) difference between the rebuild and the 4.3? Have you had the car a long time / are you used to the Speed Six?
Personally, I'd go the extra mile and get the 4.3... but really only you can answer that. Have you been in/tried a 4.3?

I seem to repeat myself but: Ouch!
On the TVR power website an upgrade from 4.0 to 4.3 is around 7000£... Not sure if it would cost you this much but it's probably still quite a lot. Especially since you only have got the Sag with the 4l for such a short period; to make another big financial sacrifice must be difficult... But I also see the opportunity. Must be really hard. :-)
If you can make a good deal for the 4.3 why not try to make one for the 4.5? ;-)
Or is that completely out of the question?
