Well... the time has finally arrived to change!
Discussion
After nearly 5 years, my much loved and massively entertaining C5 RS6 Avant will be up for sale shortly (or traded in). Literally just serviced, new tyres, new brake pads, 12 months MOT, new CV joints/boots and a full clean health check by MRC... Couple of bits of bodywork to be sorted next week and it'll be ready to go! A few troubles 4 years ago, but once it was fixed (been under full Audi warranty) it has been trouble free for 50k miles and 4 years of daily use.
I'm now doing more miles than I used too, so will be looking for something more sensible to do the business miles. London to Stevenage, Solihull and Warrington will be regulars...
Needs to be an exec car for work so suggestions to run an old banger might make sense financially, but won't make sense for work. 30mpg+ combined would be nice, as would all wheel drive - it's what I'm used too and I can't be bothered with changing tyres/wheels every time it might almost snow as seems to be the requirement with a lot of exec cars! (at least it was on my E60 M5 anyway...)
Do I just get a Lexus LS (new shape) or A8 quattro and be done with it?! Any other suggestions?

Not 4x4 but I'm thinking XFs are looking good value, £20k will get you a 2010 3litre diesel retail it seems

Nice place to park ya bum

Or less still will get you an earlier but still very respectable 2.7.

I'll be sad to see the RS6 go, as it is one of the most memorable and desirable sounds of any vehicle in my last 5 motoring years
Given your warranty repair costs have exceeded the original purchase price iirc, someone will get a great deal! I wish I had the kahoonas (and necessary warranty cover) to buy one.

I agree with Jacko & TC. To keep 4wd after the Audi it may be worth changing for something else rather than another quattro so the X5 would be a good choice, especially with the twin turbo motor - the Jag is a lovely car, a friend has just got one, he's extremely impressed.
Alternatively a 4.2 TDi A8 is the obvious choice
