S Club Euro Tour 2012.
What spares are we taking with us on this trip? - Apart from extra Euros & contingency pies? Would it be a good idea if we all brought something different to the party, for the common good? That way we would lighten the individual load, but still be prepared for most contingencies.
What do we think to the idea?

Don't worry, Longers is familiar with a "TVR" garage near Liege...
They can fix anything from dodgy connectors to who knows what ;-)

No need for earplugs if you keep them behind you Andy! That was the only reason I drove so fast in the Alps biglaugh

It's a good question Glen and one I get asked before every trip.

Tom needed to use a boot bag for clothes on the Alps trip cos he had so many spares & tools in his boot! I'd start by making sure you have the legal requirements covered (hi vis vests, spare bulbs, etc). Beyond that I carry the basics of clips, hoses, fuses, coolant, water, throttle cable, etc.

To be honest I'm not the most technically minded so not the best person to answer really! My view is that given the combined knowledge & experience of the rest of the group they'd be able to fully rebuild a car given enough time so I'm sure they'd be able to sort most things. For everything else I'll rely on Euro breakdown cover & Mr Visa wink

Thanks for your input everybody.

I'll be bringing mostly duct tape, JBWeld,
Self-amalgamating tape, string, wire, an
empty beer can, Isopon P40, another
empty beer can, Firegum, Flatmate, yet
another empty beer can, a spanner, a
screwdriver ( the implement not the
cocktail), a big hammer, some glue and
an empty beer can. Plus spare Speedos
for the Spa laps and spare boxers for
the Ring.

Note: - Obviously I've had to empty the
beer cans to save weight.

Is it worth also bringing a "get out of jail
free" card?
