nono It's based on a COUGER.

My favourite bits are that clearly, nobody knew how high up the "engine" was supposed to be, and that you can't get manual Scuds hehe

As much as we all think it's a waste of money and a complete piece of crap, these threads have kind of been done to death.

Actually no, I've changed my mind.

My favourite bit has to be this:

"NO DREAMERS PLEASE."

Not a bad effort, really.

Still pointless.

i would normally snigger under my breath at these sort of cars, but i've got to say, that would fool 99.9% of the population on a walk past.

The car is not terrible, his spelling is!!!

Lets be honest - it isnt that bad at first glance is it?

Far better than some of the crappy MR2 based replica's that get advertised. I know the manual change is wrong, the engine is too high etc etc however its a reasonable effort.

5/10 maybe?

Funny that, it's exactly the opposite of what will happen

"EVEN MOTOR TRADERS HAVE BEEN FOOLED".......what like the one selling it?

Don't usually give these out willy-nilly, but here...

I dunno. At least the mid-engined RWD layout means there should be some vague, tenuous link between the handling characteristics of an F430 and an MR2.

Before anyone says anything I cannot stress strongly enough that's a relative comment compared to the Cougar, I'm not suggesting the two are indistinguishable! smile

For me, replicas should:
  • Look identical to the original
  • Drive the same set (and number) of wheels
  • Have around the same power and weight
  • Preferably share the same suspension layout - live axle on older cars for example
  • Have the same number of cylinders in the engine
  • Locate the engine in the same place
  • Still be cheaper than the original by a large enough margin to explain why you don't simply save up for another couple of years for the real thing
With F355s dipping below £30k I don't think the Cougerrari even fulfils the last one!

Interior is awful.

However, I think the outside looks pretty close to the real thing. if the wheels were a wider offset, I think it could fool lots of people.

As said earlier, I've seen worse!

I love the cars specs being quoted as per a real Scuderia. 3.6s to 60, 4.3L Mmmm
And Ferrari are going to be disappointed that their CF is indistinguishable from the plastic reps on Ebay.(Apparently)
