a friend said (cant remember specifics) you can get an app for android, lead and plug it into the computer of the car and see fault codes etc...

anyone used this?

You can do it over Bluetooth too with the ODBII Bluetooth adapter, got mine from Amazon for around £20 I think...

Top two apps, there's a free version. But spending £2.95 on an app being used in a car (probably) worth 10,000 times that is surely not a hardship? Don't skimp ;-)
