hey guys,

received my 2nd shipment with my brakes. I tried to fit my rotors and they foul on the studs where the studs have no thread. all the studs are all around 12.8mm. All the holes in the hat are around 12.6mm.

I emailed the factory and they told me to "press fit" them using nuts and just to keep tightening until the rotors sat flush on the hub, but the more i tightened (I was using five nuts and washers going half a turn per nut criss-crossing across the five studs as I tightened. I could not even get that hat flush on the hub, it was still a good 5mm off even touching once I finally removed it and looked at the score marks on the studs) the more warped the hat became.

what is everyone elses experience with fitting the rotors. all four of my rotors foul on the studs.

cheers and thanks in advance

0.2mm or 8 thousandths is too much to press fit without burring the soft bells....something is wrong.

Definitely not right.

They are tight but not that tight. Have another word with the factory and give AP a call to see how to rectify the problem.
