This is from a thread some time ago.
If the Scameraship has endorced your license with a ball point pen, there is a chance (someone said) that they may not have registered said points with the DVLA.
Is there an easy way of checking this?. don't want to ring and ask 'I got done last year, did the points go on?' if you see what I mean!

'Lose' your licence and apply for a replacement, costs £11 I think.

DVD, the data protection act states you can get your details for "a reasonable" sum of money, they don't mention exact amounts.

£10 is the norm, but it isn't a guideline - it could be cheaper or more expensive depending on what the company deems "reasonable".

Plus I forgot the costs of the photos, so it could be more than a quid cheaper

IIRC, the Data Protection Registrar used to define "reasonable charge" as one or two pounds for a hardcopy of personal data held electronically. I don't remember any further recommendations about a ten pound charge. That amount seems quite unreasonable to me as you aren't expected to pay for all the retrieval costs (if there are any ?) of the data. Unfortunately, some organisations seem to be use these request as an opportunity to make a few quid (subsidise their own staff).

OR chaps, you can do as I have just done and call
0870 - 241 1879

Give them your name, date of birth, and address and they will happily tell you any points you have current.
