Hi, in the process of resurrecting my Griff and have had to remove the dashboard due to the glue failing that held the switchgear in place.

Can anyone with a Griff 500 tell me if the side light switch (as per image) is a 'latching' switch or not?

Having reassembled the dash I find that the switch does not latch but not sure if i've broken it in the process or if my wiring could be incorrect.

The switch does actually have a different number on it to the 2 that are adjacent (dipped and fog switches).

Thanks in advance :-)

Thanks Colin, I thought it must be but couldn't find out for sure.

Bit gutted as its my own fault, some glue got inside the switch and seems to have stopped the latch working.

As a suggestion why not wire in a latching relay? Push switch to turn sidelights on, push again to turn them off. Would save pulling the dash out again.

Well dash is out at the moment anyway - i've pinched the switch which turns off the dash lights (under the steering column) to swop with the faulty side light switch - they appear to be the same.

My fist attempt at glueing was only partially successful - one side of the switch set came away whilst reinstalling the dash!

Ah the joys of TVR ownership.

After the switches in my 500 fell out for the third time I decided to alter things a bit:
