£39995! yikes

There's a definite price spike amongst most models from the early 90s onwards, it seems. Even bearing in mind that this is the run-out model, 40k for a Griff certainly seems like "strong" money. One for the collector perhaps?

Do RG sell Griffiths or just add to their collection, I never see them sell one or reduce the price its a little bizarre really.

I went to see and drive their 4.3 pre-cat at £15,995 7 months ago, they were firm on price and i wasn't prepared to pay that much for a pre-cat unless it'd had a shed load of upgrades, now 8 months later its still there with no price drop.

400 miles/year = could do better IMHO

I've personally done 50k in mine & enjoyed every mile.

Mine was bought from RG last summer - at a reduced price smile

Have you spoken with them since as stock that has been around a while may be more flexible on price now compared to when it first came in....

No I haven't as I concluded I didn't want to spend a premium for a low mileage Griff. With a 20 year old car I'd rather spend a premium on condition and sensible updates and then I can use it without think about the mileage, not something you can say about a 20 year old pre-cat with only 26K miles.

Having said that I'm still looking for the right car!!

Had a good look over that car last Saturday.

It is nice, to say the least.

I don't think there'll be an issue selling it.

Thought I recognised it.........James Agger had it up for sale back in 2009.

Lets just say that the old concept of cars depreciating as they age has gone seriously into reverse !

It's supply and demand.

Regardless what anyone argues, the Griff is the icon TVR of the 90s. Arguably their most iconic and arguably one of the iconic cars per se of that whole era for the UK.

The last 100 are on paper the pinnacle of this already small group of cars and this example is probably top quartile.

To be honest, I know that I will buy another Griff at some point and it will either be a total resto to original spec of a 4.3 or an LE. I wouldn't hesitate to bag this one.

Hi I did not trade her in, I sold her to the current owners last February 2011, I did manage top monies when sold and the current sell price does reflect her true condition, Paul.

I bought the pre-cat.

No movement on price, but agreed a number of jobs to be completed.

Been following the car for a bit, and stopped on the off chance.

Has had a fair bit of work whilst with them including front end re-spray since it was first listed.

Drove it and a 500 and must say I much preferred the pre-cat noise and the way the engine revved.
