Hi.
I know that lots of the parts on the esprit s1/s2 are taken from other mass produced cars, front suspension from ascona B, tail lights from Rover 3500 vitess and so on. Does anyone know of a list of all the "donor" parts that are used on the esprit? It would bee realy handy in trying to source replacement parts.

Hi,

A variety of the switchgear which is primarily Lucas, is used on an assortment of British cars such as Triumph, MG, Healey etc.

The rear Tailights on the S1 are shared with the Fiat X-19 (most produced mid-engined car in history w/ 175,000 examples produced) and the S2 tailights are from a Rover 3500 wagon, only reversed.

I'm sure others will chime in as well, there are really a lot of cross-referenced parts for the really early cars. Happy Motoring! ...Jim'85TE

I have seen a page on a Lotus website specifically for this, think it was US based, but can't remember for sure. Try a search.
